Fences Reflection In ACT ONE Scene 4, Cory is being disrespectful to his mother, Rose by not wanting to clean. Rose should not let Cory do anything he wants. If she do, then danger might happen. Troy describes vivid details about his past life. When Troy was 14, he had an interest in Joe Canewell's daughter and Troy's father wanted the daughter all for himself. This is when Troy lost all fear in his dad and became a man. So, Troy walked down to Mobile and started stealing to live for him and Lyon's mother. Fences Reflection|Journal Entry Day 19 The class went over homework from last night. Then, we read Fences. It is a interesting play and book to begin with. Troy is the father of a idealistic musician, archangel son, and a inspiring football player, Rose is his wife. Troy is blunt to anybody. Rose is the typical mother wanting to decide what's better for her and her kids. Gabriel, who himself is to believed to be the archangel, was shot in the head, but has a metal plate. Bono is a follower than a leader. He agrees on Troy's arguments or try not get in as much. Day 19: It is Valentine's Day! Nice to see people receiving gifts plus their reactions. Reflection|Journal Entry Day 18 In Mr.Rease class, the lesson was going over claims and how to write it correctly or finding the right one. To find the right one, first a person has to read the prompt and see what is the question asking. Second, gather up or set up a planner. However, it should not take lomg because students are in a room for about 4 hours taking the tests. Then, write the introductory paragraph, thesis statement. After, it is claims, textual support, commentary, second part of that. Atleast 3 body paragraphs and a conclusion paragraph. Day 18: Today, I practiced with my Drill Team. At this point, it should be no excuses to why somebody cannot be on the right command or do it correctly. To me, it look like some people want to be in the Drill Team just to be in it and really do not want to work on theirselves. Reflection|Journal Entry Day 17 In class, the discussion was tips on setting up body paragraphs, learning info about the book, textual support, evidence, claim, and commentary. I need work on finding reasonable claims to answer the prompt. Commentary is what the essay should primarily be about. Since, it is the person telling how he or she sees it. My teacher also spoke on having 3 books in our back pocket fresh on the mind. Figuratively. Meaning, names, events, and theme. Theme plays a role. Most of the questions says answer the meaning of the work as a whole. Simliarily. Day 17: I practiced with my Drill Team. Alot of commands are not executed the right way. Some people understand at a faster pace than others. However, freshman take JROTC. So, some the commands should not be hard. Guaranteed, our team will execute on commands and do a great job!
Journal Entry Day 15 My weekend was pleasant. My family went shopping. I caught up on shows to watch. Contemplated on whether I should cut my hair or not. The way my hair is at different times I do not like. I do not know why, but one side is thicker than the other and see heat damage. However, creative me had to to do a Valentine's Day hairstyle. I enjoy doing creative hairstyles. It shows to other people hair do not have to ve in the same position. Anyways, I did heart part into a bantu knot. Then, twisted up my hair. It took about 4-5 hours, I have patience. Sometimes, the amount of time it takes is because I will envisioned how I want the style to be and go from there or listening to music. The Color Purple Reflection|Journal Entry Day 14 Letter 51, Shug and Celie noticed Mr.______ hides Nettie's letters in his trunk. They seek out a plan to go in his trunk when Grady and Mr.______ is gone. One night, Shug and Celie opened the trunk and find lots of items including Nettie's letters. They heat, steam the letters open, and start reading the first letter from Nettie. Day 14: Our Drill Team did not practiced today. My second block teacher reviewed AP question in math to help the class on the AP exam. Third block, my teacher prepared a AP multiple choice question test to also help the class on the AP exam. In addition, the class analyzed The Color Purple.I find the techniques useful in order to pass the exam.
The Color Purple Reflection|Journal Entry Day 13 Christmas comes around. While Mr.______ and Grady drink, Shug and Celie do all the work through the house and conversate. Singing around the world, Shug has become successful. She has purchased numerous items. The relationship between Shug Avery and Grady seems like it was love at first sight. The two met when Shug's oil gave out on the car and Grady fixed it. Because Celie and Mr.______ have love for Shug, they feel jealous. Day 13: I practiced with my team again for the Drill conpetition. I think today was one of our best practices. The more our team do, the better we will get as a unity. I went on a field trip yesterday, so I missed second block lessons. The lesson was slope fields. As soon as my teacher, Ms. Mahoney, taught it, I caught on. Even though I missed a day, I am responsible for understanding and catching up on the work.
The Color Purple Reflcetion|Journal Day Entry 12 During some of the previous letters, Sofia has got herself into jail. Letter 40, Shug, Celie, and Mr.______ dress Squeaky, or Mary Agnes. Day 12: Started off the first class practicing for our upcoming Armed Drill Team in March. The team still has things to work on, but the commands should be executed like it is on the Drill sheet. When second block came, I went back to my first block teacher for the field trip. In addition to going on the field trip, I missed Jonathan's signing off to Alabama A&M. The Color Purple Reflection|Journal Entry Day 11 Letter 39, Celie, Shug, Mr._____, the prizefighter, Squeak, Odessa, and two of Sofia sisters sit at a table to discuss Sofia in jail amd how to get her out. Harpo and the prizefighter thinks smuggling in a gun or dynamite is going to help Sofia. It seems unreasonable for the rest of the group. Afterwards, Squeak, or Mary Agnes, says she is related to the warden. The group like the idea of Squeak dressing up and pleading to the warden to let Sofia out of prison. Day 11: In first block, I was glad to help with the items for a rifle competition against Williamson High School. Putting in extra pellets and such, so my team is prepared. Also, there was Hi-Q competition today at school. Our school came in 3rd place. I am sure the students will practice harder the next time. Not falling under pressure. Plus, my head was hurting because a student made a joke about something.
The Color Purple Reflection|Journal Day Entry 10 In Letter 26, Celie describes Shug's hair being full of tangles, short, and kinky texture to it. She combs her hair with grace. Shug wanted to Celie to hurry and get done. Once Shug relaxed, she started to hum a tune Celie thought the tune sounded dirty. The reader can infer Celie and Shug are getting closer and comfortable with one another. Day 10: Today, I practiced again with my Drill Team. There are certain things the team has to work on, but our team will pull it together. Things my team mainly need to work on is synchronicity and not crossing over the boundaries. If our team cross over the boundary at the Fairgrounds, then the team loses points. And our team does not want that to happen. After school, I went to my family mailbox and got the mail. Opened it and received two more acceptance letters plus scholarships. My mother was really proud of me, I was glad to see her that way. Day 10.
Journal Entry Day 9 My weekend was different, but the same as any other weekend would be. Played with four year old brother. We played games on my PS3. He actually know how to work the buttons and learn the controls a little bit. I can tell he is going to love games. Also played on the PS4. The Color Purple Reflection/Journal Day Entry 8 Letter 25, Celie cooks the family breakfast, but Shug Avery only wants a cup of coffee and cigarrettes. While Celie eats her breakfast, Shug gazes in her magazine and disliked the white woman having fun in the photo. Aroma of the breakfast spreads around and Celie tries to make Shug get some of the food. Shug falls into eating the breakfast, Celie noticed. Mr._____ surprised at how did Shug Avery eat. Celie says nobody could not resist the smell of cured ham. Day 8: Today, I had a mindless moment. After 1st block, of course, it was second block. I do not know why, but I go to intervention instead of second block. I knew something was wrong because the time difference. I then realized the block I was supposed to go to and laughed.
