The Color Purple Reflection/Journal Entry Day 6 Letter 19, Harpo and Mr.______ are outside on the porch. He wants to know how to put Sofia in her place and not backtalk him. Mr.______ tells his son women are like children. The only logical thing to keep Sofia in control is to beat her. In the past letters, Mr.______ told Harpo women are the ones to work and nobody else. After, Mr._____ does not want to work, Harpo expresses emotional feelings. To the point, the controlling side of Mr._____ is showing. Reflection|Journal Entry Day 18 In Mr.Rease class, the lesson was going over claims and how to write it correctly or finding the right one. To find the right one, first a person has to read the prompt and see what is the question asking. Second, gather up or set up a planner. However, it should not take lomg because students are in a room for about 4 hours taking the tests. Then, write the introductory paragraph, thesis statement. Comparison and Contrast Of Infant Joy and Infant Sorrow
The poems of Infant Joy and Infant Sorrow have similiarities a normal reader cannot comprehend. The two babies are coming into a world where he or she does not understand, yet. The author uses characterization in both poems to describe its own. Meaning that Infant Joy experience glee and Infant Sorrow experience misery. In Infant Joy and Infant Sorrow, William Blake uses another literary device which is connotation. He connects Infant Sorrow to a society sometimes without morals, without meaning and without standards. Connecting Infant Joy to a society sometimes with righteousness, with morals, and intention to do good. These poems may have a story to tell with the comparison and saying Infant Joy was Infant Sorrow.
