The Color Purple Reflection/Journal Entry Day 4

  In Letter 10, Celie reacts to seeing her daughter with anoher woman. When she sees her child, she instantly recognizes her. Celie thinks this girl is her child because of the eyes she have. Plus, Celie embroidered her daughter diapers with the name Olivia and stars and flowers. So, if Celie could know thia information, then the child is hers. This is the first time the readers see hope in Celie knowing Fonso did not kill one on their children. Celie follows Olivia and the stepmother into the store. Celie asks who is Olivia father and the stepmother replied with Reverend Mr.______. Later on, Celie invites them to her wagon while they wait for Reverend Mr._____. Celie questioned the stepmother about Olivia's birth month and her name. The stepmother answered the month of December and Pauline, but the family call her Olivia because she looks like an Olivia. Also, Celie thinks Olivia was born in November. Celie asked the two the question out of curiosity to know if Olivia is truly her daughter. Alice Walker points out hints to the readers Olivia is Celie's daughter. Furthermore, Reverend Mr.______ comes along and picks up Olivia and the stepmother. From reading this letter, the readers can refer Celie saw her daughter and instantly knew her. Interest lead her to asking questions she would only understand about Olivia.

Day 4:
  Today I did Drill Team Practice in first block. Our team decided to practice inside the school's Aerospace building. Until we had all the commands done and time for second block, our drill team practiced and practiced. Learned commands such as 15 count manual arms. In which our Drill Team had to be in sync with the count and do it together. I am a squad leader on the Armed Drill Team and proud to be one. A squad leader has certain leadership abilities in a Drill Team. If the Drill Team commander were to call a Left Column March, the squad leaders are to turn in a wheel-like motion and the members of the squad or platoon follows. Our team did the whole 51 commands on the sheet, I am so happy. The upcoming drill is in March. I know our team will do well with Morgan Brown as our Drill Commander.

Fences Reflection|Journal Entry Day 19   The class went over homework from last night. Then, we read Fences. It is a interesting play and book to begin with. Troy is the father of a idealistic musician, archangel son, and a inspiring football player, Rose is his wife. Troy is blunt to anybody. Rose is the typical mother wanting to decide what's better for her and her kids. Gabriel, who himself is to believed to be the archangel, was shot in the head, but has a metal plate. I did a Valentine's Day Hairstyle. People said they loved my hair and I felt so happy. I like being creative with my hair. Especially when holidays come around.
