The Color Purple/Day 1 Reflection: In "The Color Purple", the letters starts with Celie desribing every detail of Fonso, her father, raping her. She has her baby by Fonso and does not know whether Fonso killed the babies or took them. He leaves her with wonder and thought. Fonso starts glancing at Celie's little sisiter, Nettie. Celie knowing what Fonso is capable does not want Nettie to go through that horrifying situation. Altogether, the start, middle, and end of this letter made me and the class uncomfortable. Fences Reflection|Journal Entry Day 19   The class went over homework from last night. Then, we read Fences. It is a interesting play and book to begin with. Troy is the father of a idealistic musician, archangel son, and a inspiring football player, Rose is his wife. Troy is blunt to anybody. Rose is the typical mother wanting to decide what's better for her and her kids. Gabriel, who himself is to believed to be the archangel, was shot in the head, but has a metal plate. Bono is a follower than a leader. He agrees on Troy's arguments or try not get in as much.   Day 19:  It is Valentine's Day! Nice to see people receiving gifts plus their reactions. I did a Valentine's Day Hairstyle. People said they loved my hair and I felt so happy. I like being creative with my hair. Especially when holidays come around. My brother took more pictures of me for the yearbook.

Reflection|Journal Entry Day 17   In class, the discussion was tips on setting up body paragraphs, learning info about the book, textual support, evidence, claim, and commentary. I need work on finding reasonable claims to answer the prompt. Commentary is what the essay should primarily be about. Since, it is the person telling how he or she sees it. My teacher also spoke on having 3 books  in our back pocket fresh on the mind. Figuratively. Meaning, names, events, and theme. Theme plays a role. Most of the questions says answer the meaning of the work as a whole. Simliarily.   Day 17:  I practiced with my Drill Team. Alot of commands are not executed the right way. Some people understand at a faster pace than others. However, freshman take JROTC. So, some the commands should not be hard. Guaranteed, our team will execute on commands and do a great job!
